The Mynabirds "Generals" Video Shoot

I worked with Laura Burhenn of The Mynabirds on a couple of wardrobe pieces for her spring/summer 2012 tour.  The music video for her single "Generals" is coming out soon and I wanted to share the romper she wears during a dance segment in the video.

Natural hemp and organic cotton romper with gold top-stitching and silk/hemp crinkle crepe sleeves
The same look on the runway, where it debuted, during Omaha Fashion Week. The leather fringe belt and cuff were designed by Chris Hughs of Artifact Bag Co. exclusively for this collection. Laura was our muse.

The romper features a deep-v back with two horizontal straps and boat neck front. The body is made out of natural organic cotton and hemp twill with metallic gold top-stitching.  The flowy sleeves open at the elbow and are hemp and silk crinkle crepe.

"Generals" is one of my favorite tracks (it is full of gentle outrage and heavy dance beats), but all of the songs are a delight, with beautiful layered lyrics.  It is an album that is fueled by frustration and calls on "my generals" for revolution.

Pre-Order the entire album here or pick it up at your local record store when it comes out on June 5th.
